New homebrew Rock Band drum set pads

While the Rock Band drum set may very well be the best accessory for the Xbox 360 to date, even a fan like myself will admit that the drum pads can be (annoyingly) loud.

Enter Drumshhh, a great new start-up offering cool looking, noise reducing cover pads for your Rock Band drum kit. For now, supplies are limited but that should be changing soon. Swing by and check ’em out!

Cool accessory works with Xbox 360

If you’ve got some disposable income that you’d like to get rid of (or if you’re looking for the perfect holiday gift for me) then you might be interested in this cool little product. I first wrote about Headplay’s Personal Cinema System a while back at Totally360 and now that they’ve officially brought the system to market, I figured I’d follow-up on it.

The HEADPLAY Personal Cinema System features a Visor which creates a virtual 52 inch screen, a jack for headphones and a remote control. It’s also compatible with a very wide variety of media options such as Xbox 360, DVD players and MP3 players. The idea of having my own “private” viewing screen and sound system is VERY appealing, although with a price tag of $499-$549, privacy comes at steep price.

Either way, I’ve always imagined what it would be like to have something like this and I’m sure there are more people out there that feel the same, so I thought I’d share. Check ‘em out at and let us know what you think.

Go totally wireless with brain power!!

I found this interesting story over at that talks about how companies are now experimenting with brain waves for the next generation of game controllers.

Details are sketchy at the moment, but you can read what they have revealed so far right here. There’s also a YouTube video demonstrating the technology that you might find interesting.

For the record, I’m more than a bit skeptical  on this.

Sweet custom guitar controller

Slightly off-topic here, but this is just too cool to ignore.

There’s a company out there called Art Guitar which specializes in making some of the best looking custom guitars I’ve ever seen. Well, they’ve apparently decided to get in on the “guitar-game” frenzy and are now producing the limited edition AG Riff Master Guitar Controller made from REAL guitars! The body is a genuine Peavey matched with a natural rosewood neck. Even the tuning pegs are real (although the lack of strings renders them fairly useless). And the controller buttons, as you can see below, are set nicely within the fret board. The finished products will all sport custom ‘rock-icon’ artwork from Art Guitar highlighting some of the biggest bands in the history of rock and roll…including KISS 😛

So why is this off-topic you may wonder? The controllers support only PS2 at the moment. In all fairness, the company’s website is advertising AG Riff Masters as Full Size Custom Guitars for Night Club and Bar Events” so they seem to be targeting a very specific audience at the moment. But who knows? If enough people express the interest, it could be enough to persuade Art Guitar to show the Xbox 360 some love.
