COD 4: Modern Warfare beta date announced
Activision has revealed that the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare multiplayer beta will open to the public on Monday, August 27th, although I don’t have any details regarding how tokens will be distributed at this time. UPDATE: U.S. gamers looking to participate in the beta should visit http://www.charlieoscardelta.com on Monday, August 27th beginning at 12:00 noon PDT for a chance to win a beta token and get in on the action.
International players from the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland &the United Kingdom will also have an opportunity to participate. Details on International entry are promised soon at the same website.
I was given an opportunity to try the beta (for which I am greatly appreciative) and can tell you with great confidence that the game is awesome! Unfortunately, I’m a bit pressed for time at the moment but I will try and get my impressions of the beta posted up here a little later on today.

apparently US works with uk accounts, also FOURZEROTWO has stated thier will be open registration for 24 hours once the site goes back up.

Does that mean they don’t care where you are from as long as you register or ?
basically fourzerotwo and the lads over at activision and infinty ward made it so anyone in the “us” who signed up within the 24 hour period gets in. However they dont moniter if u sign up with a uk account by the looks of it as i have as large amount of people in the uk with the beta and i also have a beta icon by my name on the cod 4 forums which meens im just waiting for my code.
