Sierra reveals upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade titles
Sierra has released details on three of their upcoming Xbox LIVE Arcade titles: Switchball, Commanders: Attack! and Battlestar Galactica.
Switchball puts a spin on the traditional marble-roller by way of the changing characteristics of the ball. From a standard Marbleball, to a feather-light Airball, an electric-charged Powerball and the heavyweight Metalball, all offer different strengths and weakness while maneuvering across the narrow suspended courses. Scheduled to hit XBLA in late summer.
Commanders: Attack! is a 1930’s-themed turn-based tactical game where players can choose to take on the computer AI in the 15 missions that make up its single-player campaign or battle up to 3 friends locally or online in one of the four multiplayer modes: Versus, Team Play, Player vs. CPU or same-system Skirmish. Debuts this fall.
Battlestar Galactica is a top-down space combat game which will feature up to 8-player online battles in addition to the single-player campaign. The game will also feature memorable missions from the televisions series, the ability to play as human or Cylon, 8 ships and full 3D graphics. Expect to see this one in fall also.
Oh baby, talk to me…
While we’re all waiting for the new Forza 2 DLC, I thought I’d throw my two cents in on what I would love to see added to the game; text to speech.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has crashed mightily when trying to take a peak at my split-time or other stats that pop up during a race. I really love the game but trying to read the in-game statistics can be a frustrating and downright dangerous process.
For some reason, Turn 10 did not consult me before designing the update (which comes as a big surprise to me
) but I’m not sure if a feature like that could be added through a patch.
Maybe I should just hire a navigator…
Don’t go away mad…just go away!
Why won’t Paris Hilton just go away??
